Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Super Taxi Meter handles user data in the Android app, related web features, support, and Google Play distribution.

Scope

This policy applies to Super Taxi Meter, also distributed on Google Play as Taximeter-GPS under package com.bluelionsolutions.srilanka.mytaxicontrol, and to related support, fleet, dispatch, billing, and web-portal services provided by Blue Lion Solutions S.à r.l.

This policy is intended to describe our practices in plain language. If your use of the app is governed by a separate written fleet, dispatch, or enterprise agreement, that agreement may add more specific terms.

Data We Process

Location

GPS location is used during a trip to calculate distance, waiting time, fare, tariff selection, and related meter functions. If the app continues an active trip in the background, location use is shown through Android foreground-service notifications and permission controls.

Trip and meter data

Trip start and end time, distance, waiting time, fare, extras, receipts, tariff settings, and trip history may be stored so you can review or export your own records.

Account and fleet data

If you use account, fleet, dispatch, or web-portal features, we may process login details, driver or vehicle identifiers, shift records, reports, assigned rides, and related operational data.

Purchase and subscription status

Google Play Billing may provide purchase tokens, product identifiers, and entitlement status so the app can unlock paid features or remove ads. We do not receive your full card number from Google Play.

Device and diagnostics data

The app or service providers may process device model, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, and identifiers needed to maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.

Advertising data

The free version may show ads. Google advertising services may process advertising identifiers, approximate location, device data, and interaction data according to their own privacy terms and your device settings.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, attachments, and any app or account details needed to answer your request.

How We Use Data

We use data to provide and maintain the taximeter service, including fare calculation, tariff selection, trip history, receipts, paid feature entitlement, support, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and legal compliance.

Location is used for app functionality. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.

Sharing

We may share data with service providers that help operate the app and related services, such as hosting, support, diagnostics, analytics, advertising, billing, payment processing, mapping, communication, and security providers. These providers are expected to process data only for the services they provide to us or to you.

Data may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect users or the service, to enforce agreements, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction with appropriate notice where required.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. Data sent between the app and our services is transmitted using modern encrypted connections where applicable. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we keep security controls under review.

Retention and Deletion

Data stored only on your device remains under your control and can be deleted by clearing app data, deleting trip records where the app provides that option, or uninstalling the app.

Server-side account, fleet, support, billing, and operational records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, support, security, accounting, legal compliance, dispute handling, and legitimate business records.

To request deletion of an account or personal data associated with app services, contact us at contact@taximeter-gps.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain limited records where required by law or needed for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes.

Children

The app is intended for taxi, hire-car, fleet, and transport users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your app account and associated personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal, security, tax, or dispute reasons.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law gives you that right.
  • Withdraw optional permissions, such as location, through Android settings. Some app features may stop working without the permission they need.

You can also manage Android permissions, advertising ID controls, and Google Play purchase settings from your device and Google account settings.
